Spotty Dog Records was born out of a lifelong love of vinyl and a shared obsession that started with Kat and quickly consumed Stace as well.

It began with years of hunting down rare pressings, limited editions and hidden gems — the kind of records that make you stop in your tracks the moment you spot them.

 

When that passion became impossible to keep to ourselves, Spotty Dog Records felt like the natural next step: a shop built on genuine enthusiasm for vinyl, curated by two people who get genuinely excited about what lands on the doormat.

And then there's Penny.

Our Dalmatian-Border Collie cross is the beating heart of Spotty Dog Records — not quite two years old, completely unhinged, and absolutely full of joy. She's the reason for the name, the logo, and a frankly unreasonable amount of social media content. (You can follow Penny on Insta @pennyspawsomeadventures1)

We wouldn't have it any other way.

We're based in Liverpool, and you'll find us at makers markets and events across the North West if you want to browse in person. Online, we add new stock as soon as it arrives — rare and limited editions don't hang around, so we get them on the site fast.
